Terms of Use
Last updated 2 October 2026
About these terms
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and the developer of Nyx ("we", "us"). By installing or using Nyx, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install or use Nyx.
Your licence to use Nyx
Nyx is free. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Nyx on devices you own or control, for personal or business browsing.
Nyx is closed-source software. We, not you, own Nyx, its name, its logo and its design. This licence does not give you any rights to them beyond using the app.
What you may not do
You may not sell, rent or redistribute Nyx, or offer it for download yourself; share the official download page instead.
You may not copy, modify, decompile or reverse-engineer Nyx, or remove its notices, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms.
You may not use Nyx to break the law or to attack, overload or gain unauthorised access to any website, network or computer.
You may not repackage Nyx with malware, adware or anything else, or pass off a modified copy as the official app.
Updates
Nyx checks for updates and downloads them automatically so you get security and stability fixes. You can turn off automatic installation in Settings → About Nyx. These terms apply to every update.
Websites, extensions and other services
Nyx shows websites and can run browser extensions made by other people. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or behaviour. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
The ad blocker uses community filter lists. It may sometimes block something a site needs, or miss an ad. You can allow ads on any site from the shield in the toolbar.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for what you do online with Nyx, for keeping your device secure, and for the extensions you choose to install.
No warranty
Nyx is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that Nyx will be error-free or always available.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of Nyx. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using Nyx at any time by uninstalling it. If you break these terms, your licence ends automatically and you must uninstall Nyx.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using Nyx after a change, you accept the new terms.
